Abstract
These autumn and winter months seem a good time to take a look at some of o ur minor honey and pollen plants. As Pellett points out in his American Hon ey Plants, these lesser-known sources of nectar and pollen, while seldom pr oviding much surplus, are nevertheless of importance to beekeepers. Such pl ants represent the majority of our bee flora. Some of them aid in spring bu ild up, some keep colonies in prime condition between major honeyflows, and some supply pollen when pollen is scarce. All of them deserve to be better known and appreciated.
