Abstract
The structurally characterised meta- and para-dimetallacyclophanes [RN(C6H4 )N(R)Zr(NMe2)(2)N(R)(C6H4)N(R)Zr- (NMe2)(2)] (R = SiMe3), obtained from [{Z r(NMe2)(3)(mu-NMe2)}(2)] and C6H4[N(H)R](2)-1,3 or -1,4 (2 mol), are cataly sts (with methylaluminoxane) for the polymerisation of ethylene.
