Zw. Yu et al., Enantiomer separation of glycerin sulfides and glycerin selenides with a chiral stationary phase of cellulose derivative, CHEM J CH U, 20(9), 1999, pp. 1376-1379
Cellulose-tris(3, 5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) was prepared and immobilized o
nto a mesopore spherical aminopropylated silica gel. The final product was
used as a chiral stationary phase for the enantioseparation of a series of
glycerin sulfides and glycerin selenides. Some enantiomers of the monosulfi
des and monoselenides could be separated satisfactorily, but the bisulfides
could not at all. The structural characteristic of the samples that influe
nce chiral discrimination was disscused. The effect of 2-propanol concentra
tion in the mobile phase on the retention and resolution was also investiga
ted.
