Abstract
Kinetics of a DFB laser with a binary mixture of dyes (molecules of a donor and an acceptor) under travelling-waves conditions was examined. It is sho wn that nonlinear absorption of radiation by the molecules of the acceptor can lead to a considerable (several times) shortening of the duration of th e output pulse.
