Abstract
The mechanisms of metabolic action of Deglutame (DG), anticancer low-molecu lar-weight: L-glutamine(Gln)-derived peptide, on rat tumors W-256, SM-1, SM -45 and PC-1 has been investigated. It was demonstrated that action of DG w as realized by "antiglutamine" mechanism only after its peroral administrat ion. The metabolic effects of the preparation depend on actual concentratio ns of Gln and amino acids competing with the latter for common transport sy stem.
