Drug-induced hypoglycemia

Insulin and the sulfonylurea drugs have been used illicitly to produce fact itious illness and to commit suicide and murder. The biomedical literature relating to these examples of drug misuse is reviewed, and new cases are ad ded. Interpretation of the laboratory findings is discussed, with particula r reference to forensic consideration.
