Abstract
The steady-state behavior of a Winkler supported infinite strip due to a un iformly moving vertical load has been studied for several ratios of the loa d velocity and critical velocity. The solution is derived with the help of method of images of the moving load in combination with the Fourier transfo rm method. To study the induced elastic fields, deflection profiles have be en calculated and presented as graphs. (C) Elsevier, Paris.
