This paper analyses the influence of the conductivity ration, Phi(lambda),
and the volume heat capacity ration, Phi(h), on the conjugate heat transfer
from a liquid particle in a liquid environment. Both creeping flow and mod
erate Re number domain are considered. Special attention is given to the ph
enomenon of thermal wake. The occurrence and the evolution of the thermal w
ake depend on the values of volume heat capacity ratio and conductivity rat
io respectively. The influence of the Pe numbers on the thermal inversion p
henomenon and the interaction (at moderate Re number values) between therma
l wake and flow separation are analysed. The results obtained show that Phi
(lambda) and Phi(h) influence strongly the conjugate heat transfer.
