Abstract
This paper presents a new technique for the optimal design of the surface p ermanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) considering the parameter correct ion of synchronous reactance. The parameter correction for the design of SP MSM is performed by using the finite element method (FEM). And the armature resistance and the residual flux density of rotor magnet are corrected thr ough the thermal analysis. The advanced immune algorithm(AIA) is used in th e optimization procedure.
