Abstract
An adaptive variable block size readout technique for use with multiple six teen channel CAMAC ADCs with a FERA-bus readout has been developed and desi gned. It can be used to read data from experiments with or without coincide nce, i.e. singles, without having to change the readout protocol. Details o f the implementation are discussed and initial results are presented. Furth er applications of the adaptive readout are also discussed.
