Tri-, di- and monoorganosilicon(IV) derivatives of benzilmonothiosemicarbaz
one have been synthesized by the reactions of the corresponding tri-, di- a
nd monoorganosilicon(IV) chlorides with the sodium salt of benzilmonothiose
micarbazone in different molar ratios. These derivatives have been characte
rised by elemental analyses, molecular weights, conductivity measurements a
nd spectral (IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR) studies. The complexation occurs through
sulphur and the nitrogen of the >C=N group.
