Abstract
Accurate stopping powers for Li-7 ions in four (co)polymers were measured u sing the transmission technique in the energy range of 0.5-10.5 MeV. The es timated uncertainty in the stopping power values is similar to 2.5%. A comp arison of the experimental data is made with various parametrizations of th e stopping power found in the literature. Deviations of the parametrization s from our experimental data range from 5 to 20%. (C) 1999 American Institu te of Physics. [S0021- 8979(99)03419-2].
