Ae. Yakuninskaya et Mm. Seredenko, Using colorimetric characteristics in developing colored optical glasses. II. Diffusely reflecting neutral glasses, J OPT TECH, 66(7), 1999, pp. 608-613
This is a review of the problems that arise in developing diffusely reflect
ing glasses with given color characteristics. The main object of attention
is reflective neutral glasses. It is shown that the components of a glass h
ave a role in making it neutral in color. The existing regulation of the qu
ality of reflective neutral glasses is considered, and it is proposed that
it be improved by using the CIELab equal-contrast colorimetric system, as w
ell as by introducing metamerism indices into the normative documents. (C)
