Abstract
Ependymomas are uncommon glial cell tumors found within the brain, spinal c ord, cauda equina, or filum terminate. Ependymomas originating in the paras acral soft tissues are exceedingly rare. The authors report the case of a 7 -year-old boy with a primary ependymoma of the sacrococcygeal area and revi ew the world literature of this tumor at this location. J Pediatr Surg 34:1 405-1407.
