Knowledge of the aging process and the care of older patients has been incr
easing at a rapid pace. It is important to recognize and separate disease f
rom the physiologic aging process. It is important to do appropriate compre
hensive assessments in aging men, so that problems may be identified early
and interventions instituted at the right time to delay physical decline, m
aintain independent living, and ultimately improve the quality of life in t
his part of the population.
