Three teeth from the Upper Triassic (Rhaetian?) Redonda Formation of the Ch
inle Group in east-central New Mexico are assigned to the Cynodontia as an
indeterminate genus of Trirachodontidae. These teeth are transversely widen
ed with a single, large central cusp and anterior/posterior cingula with ac
cessory cuspules. The microstructure of the enamel contains abundant enamel
tubules that appear to represent typical synapsid columnar enamel. This is
the youngest record of Trirachodontidae, and the first Laurasian record.
