Abstract
A critical phenomenon in rotational dynamics of asymmetric hydrides was pre dicted for the first time within the framework of the microscopic approach. It consists in a change of the number of stationary axes of molecular rota tion and the character of their stability. For a number of concrete molecul es, critical values of the total momentum are presented for which a bifurca tion takes place.
