Abstract
A rare case of a mature placental teratoma in a 32-year-old woman is report
ed. We discuss the mechanism responsible for the development of this rare t
umor in the placenta as well as the differential diagnostic difficulties en
countered in fetus acardius amorphus, underlining the clinical significance
of the exact diagnosis.
