Abstract
We report theoretical transition probabilities for all allowed transitions between the lowest configurations in Ag II (4d(10), 4d(9)5s and 4d(9)5p) an d lifetimes of all 4d(9)5p levels. The method of superposition-of-configura tions, in fully ab initio form, was employed. Our results are in particular ly good agreement with previous experimental and theoretical work (Biemont, E. et at, J. Phys. B: At. Mel. Opt. Phys. 30, 2067 (1997)). Possible astro physical applications are briefly discussed.
