Vv. Kolesov et al., Research of electromagnetic fields arising at interaction of laser radiation with ferroelectric materials, PHYS SCR, 60(3), 1999, pp. 277-282
In this paper we deal with electromagnetic radiation arising due to variati
on of the dipole moment of a ferroelectric pattern as a result of its tempe
rature change. It is also shown here that, when the pattern is heated up wi
th a powerful electromagnetic pulse, the total radiated energy is inversely
related to the pulse duration tau(p) (at the same heating power). The radi
ation spectrum has its maximum at the frequencies of the order of tau(p)(-1
) and exponentially abates if the frequency exceeds tau(p)(-1) The results
of experimental investigation of radio-frequency radiation from ferroelectr
ic crystals when they are heated with pulse laser radiation of nanosecond d
uration are touched upon below. A numerical calculation of the magnetic com
ponent of the radio wavefield has been performed for a laser pulse of a par
ticular shape. A comparison between the experimental results and the theory
prediction is also available here.
