Results are presented of experimental studies of electron emission from sin
gle crystals of triglycine sulfate, nominally pure and doped with Cr3+. The
relation between the parameters of the processes of switching and electron
emission from ferroelectrics by a coercive field and the threshold field f
or the onset of emission is investigated. It is shown that the temperature
and concentration dependences of the threshold field can be explained by th
e corresponding dependences of the coercive field. (C) 1999 American Instit
