Abstract
The effect of the geometry and construction of a single element of detector matrix on the noise/signal ratio when recording bremsstrahlung is investig ated. Data for a CdWO4 scintillator-Si-photodiode type detector are obtaine d and it is concluded that the contribution of the noise to the relative er ror is small. Recommendations are made for a further reduction in the noise /signal ratio in this system.
