Abstract
The photoluminescence spectra of type-II ZnSe/BeTe superlattices are invest igated. Giant linear polarization of the luminescence is observed with unpo larized excitation in the spatially indirect exciton region. The effect is interpreted in a model of the general optical anisotropy of heterostructure s with no common atom at the interfaces. (C) 1999 American Institute of Phy sics. [S1063-7826(99)01709-3].
