Abstract
Five green 3,4:9,10-perylenebis(dicarboximide) dyes that both donate and ac cept electrons have been synthesized under mild conditions in high yields. These chromophores undergo reversible one-electron oxidation and reduction in butyronitrile at modest potentials. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All r ights reserved.
