On one aspect of the evidence for recovered memories

Adult subjects (who had been carefully misled as to the true purpose of the research) were asked whether they could recall certain aspects of their ch ildhood and adolescence. Later, when asked how recently they bad thought ab out some of those same items, subjects often seemingly forgot that they had recalled them only minutes before.
