There is some evidence that complete resection of both primary and metastat
ic sites of non-small cell lung carcinoma has more influence on survival th
an the locoregional stage of the lung cancer. We describe prolonged surviva
l (> 5 years) after complete surgical resection of a bronchogenic carcinoma
(T3N0M1) and solitary adrenal metastasis. (Ann Thorac Surg 1999;68:1084-5)
