Recommendations for pesticide applicator training in USA based on licensing and training procedures in Western Europe

Limited data is available in the United States (U.S.) on European programs for education and licensing of pesticide applicators. This article contains information on similarities and contrasts between the pesticide education and licensing programs in the U.S. and 10 Western European nations and reco mmendations to improve Pesticide Applicator Training programs in the U.S. A lso included in this article is information about a new European Community initiative on mandatory inspection and certification, of pesticide applicat ion equipment.
