Abstract
Crossed aldol reaction of enol esters, stable carbon nucleophiles, with car bonyl compounds is effectively performed by the promotion of diethylaluminu m ethoxide under mild conditions. This reaction is applicable not only to s imple enol esters but also to lactones such as alpha-angelicalactone.
