Abstract
It is rare these days that theory leads experiment in the biological scienc es, but it still happens. A recent study has experimentally confirmed the p redictions of a model aimed at explaining how neural networks interact to p roduce the coordinated patterns of motor activity necessary for effective b ehavior.
