Abstract
We performed Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopy on differently substituted ferroc enium salts. The spectra exhibit a temperature dependent non-Lorentzian abs orption line due to fast paramagnetic relaxation processes. chi(2) fits usi ng a two-level stochastic fluctuation theory revealed an activated temperat ure behaviour of the relaxation rate interpreted in terms of an Orbach proc ess.
