The dipolar broadening of the NMR on short-lived beta-emitter Li-8 implante
d in single crystal Cu has been observed as a function of crystal orientati
on at several temperatures. From the orientation angle dependence of the li
ne width, it was found that the main component of the Li-8 occupies substit
utional site, while about 30% of Li-8 occupies octahedral interstitial site
at temperatures below 300 K.
