The temperature dependence of the hyperfine parameters in SrHfO3 powder sam
ples has been investigated by means of Perturbed Angular Correlation spectr
oscopy using implanted In-111 probes. Three quadrupole interactions have be
en established, with the largest fraction showing a pronounced dynamic inte
raction. We assign this fraction to In-111/Cd-111 probe atoms on substituti
onal Hf sites. The temperature dependence of the dynamic interaction has be
en associated to the Pnma <-> Imma phase transition at similar to 700 K. We
discuss the results in relation to those obtained for Hf-181/Ta-111-probes
in AHfO(3) (A = Ba, Sr, Ca) and for In-111/Cd-111-probes in PbZrO3 and BaT
iO3.
