The Knight shifts K for short-lived beta emitters N-12 and Si-27 implanted
in Pt have been measured by means of beta-NMR technique. The results were K
(N-12 in Pt) = +(5.8 +/- 2.1) X 10(-4) and K(Si-27 in Pt) = +(1.4 +/- 0.8)
X 10(-3). The spin-lattice relaxation time T-1 was measured for N-12 in Pt.
The result was T-1(N-12 in Pt, T = 300 K) = 66 +/- 8 ms, thus, T1T = 20 +/
- 2 Ks. The present Knight shifts are in good agreement with the KKR band s
tructure calculation with local lattice relaxation determined theoretically
.
