Abstract
A new molybdenum(VI) arsenate(LII,V), (H3NCH2CH2NH3)(2)(H3O)(2)[(AsAsMo9O34 )-As-III-Mo-V-O-VI], has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. The pol yanion framework consists of a trivacant Keggin core A-beta-[AsMo9O34](9-) monocapped by an As(III) group. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhomb ic space group Pnma with a = 19.907(4), b = 17.286(4), c = 11.445(2) Angstr om, V = 3938.4(14) Angstrom(3), Z = 4 and R1(wR2) = 0.0371(0.1139).
