Abstract
The reaction of TiCl4 with the bis-phosphinimine Me3SiN=P(Ph)(2)CH2CH2P(Ph) (2)=NSiMe3 1 proceeds with evolution of HCl and metallation of one CH2 grou p to give TiCl3{Me3SiNP(Ph)(2)CHCH2P(Ph)(2)NSiMe3} 2. The crystal structure of 2 is solved and shows a comparatively long Ti-C bond.
