Abstract
The paper presents an experimental study on six circular corrugated cylinde rs which were tested to destruction under external hydrostatic pressure. Th e results obtained from these vessels, together with the results obtained f rom elsewhere, were used to provide a design chart. The design chart appear s to be suitable for designing these vessels to guard against inelastic ins tability. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
