Abstract
A mean-field description of nonoverlaping nucleon bags bound by the self-co nsistent exchange of sigma, omega, and rho mesons is used to investigate th e properties of neutron matter at finite temperature. We use the equation o f state of zero temperature to study the rotating neutron star in the Komat su-Eriguchi-Hachisu method. The mass, radius, and angular velocity of the n eutron star are calculated and compared with the Walecka model. [S0556-2813 (99)04208-9].
