U. Chattopadhyay et al., Effects of CP violation on event rates in the direct detection of dark matter - art. no. 063505., PHYS REV D, 6006(6), 1999, pp. 3505
A full analytic analysis of the effects of CP violating phases on the event
rates in the direct detection of dark matter in the scattering of neutrali
nos from nuclear targets is given. The analysis includes CP violating phase
s in softly broken supersymmetry in the framework of the minimal supersymme
tric standard model when generational mixings are ignored. A numerical anal
ysis shows that large CP violating phases including the constraints from th
e experimental limits on the neutron and the electron electric dipole momen
t can produce substantial effects on the event rates in dark matter detecto
rs. [S0556-2821(99)02116-5].
