Abstract
A novel antifungal compound, fistulosin (octadecyl 3-hydroxyindole), was is olated from roots of Welsh onion (Allium fistulosum L.), and its structure was elucidated by spectroscopic means. This compound showed high activity a gainst Fusarium oxysporum primarily inhibiting protein synthesis. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
