Abstract
We investigated whether the application of a homebased telemonitoring syste m could decrease hospital admissions and emergency room visits in 30 patien ts with severe congestive heart failure compared with 51 patients with cong estive heart failure who received standard therapy. Emergency room visits ( 1 vs 11) and hospitalizations (13 vs 36) were decreased in the telemonitore d group (both p < 0.05).
