Mobilized peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) are increasingly being used in
stead of bone marrow for allogeneic transplantation. This chapter will brie
fly review important aspects of allogeneic PBSC transplantation including P
BSC harvesting and donor safety, reconstitution of haematopoiesis and the i
mmune system, graft-versus-host disease, graft-versus-leukaemia effects and
graft engineering.
