Abstract
Human erythropoietin (EPO)-producing recombinant BHK tells were cultured in culture medium containing microcarriers, and then microcarriers attached w ith cells were replenished in the hollow fiber culture cassette. By culture for 14 days, it was possible to produce 450 mu g of the recombinant EPO, w hich corresponded to over two-fold of the recombinant EPO production by con trol hollow fiber culture without microcarriers.
