Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) analysis of several copolymers obtaine
d by radical copolymerization of acrylamide and N,N'-dimethylacrylamide usi
ng acrylic acid and 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone as comonomers under different fee
d molar ratios had been carried out. Results demonstrate that absolute valu
e of the electrophoretic mobility is strongly dependent of the linear charg
e density of the copolymer in agrement with the Manning's counterion conden
sation theory. Analyses were performed in under 15 minutes using a phosphat
e or berate buffer.
