Abstract
The solid-state structures of iron porphyrin hydroxamate complexes reveal a n unusual monodentate eta(1)-O binding mode; the bidentate eta(2)-O,O bindi ng of the tropolonate anion results in an apical displacement of iron of 0. 80 Angstrom from the 24-atom mean porphyrin plane.
