Abstract
Reacting hexacyanochromate(III) with a mononuclear Ni(II) complex chelated by two bidentate organic radicals leads to a pentanuclear complex with thre e different kinds of paramagnetic species interacting ferromagnetically and stabilising a high spin S = 9 ground state.
