In the paper results of a systematic study of 43 binary systems platin
um - admixture are presented. The equations of the solidus and liquidu
s curves in the limit area adjoining the melting temperature of Pt wer
e computed for 28 binary systems. The values of distribution coefficie
nts k(0) of admixtures in Pt give us information about the distributin
g ability of the individual admixtures and impurity elements in platin
um by zone melting and normal freezing, They were experimentally verif
ied, The periodical correlation dependence of the distribution coeffic
ients of admixtures in platinum on proton number of admixtures was det
ermined, It enables to predict k(0) for unknown admixtures in platinum
.
