Abstract
This paper describes the analytic model and the experimental system we have used to evaluate the effective thermal conductivity for different porous m atrices where coupled conductive and radiative heat transfer take place ori ginating from an incident radiative flux. The results we have obtained for metallic porous matrices made of duralumin turnings or copper wool show goo d agreement with the results one can find in the literature.
