Abstract
In order to distinguish chemical states of two crystallographic sites in ma gnetite structure based on spectro-diffractometry, in-advance simulation an d resonant X-ray powder diffraction experiments were performed for Co3O4 an d Fe3O4 with incident X-ray energies near the absorption edges of Cobalt an d Iron respectively. In this study, the chemical states of the two differen t crystallographic sites in the magnetite structure was clearly distinguish ed. The absorption edge of Cobalt atoms at A sites (8a) is lower than that at B sites (16d) while the absorption edge of Iron at A sites is higher tha n that at B sites. Those results are consistent with the result obtained fr om other methods.
