Abstract
The theory of an optical limiter-discriminator using a pair of laser diodes synchronized to the incoming signal is developed. The frequency sensitivit y of this limiter-discriminator is fairly high compared with other discrimi nators due to the signal amplification property of the injection-locked las er diodes. The relative intensity noise of the input signal is highly reduc ed at the output of the locked lasers.
