Abstract
Circularly polarized magnetic bremsstrahlung (''synchrotron'') gamma-r adiation of ultrarelativistic electrons is suggested to be used to pro duce polarized pulsed neutrons by photonuclear reactions on light nucl ei with a single valence neutron in the p-shell. The polarization, spe ctral and integral characteristics of photoneutrons have been determin ed by multigroup calculations for Be-9 that is distinguished by an ano malously low neutron binding energy.
